These settings style the Secure Only band — switch modes to see them applied. A simple example; real Secure Processor menus can be far more sophisticated.

SECURITY SETTINGS
MIXED DSRB
← Double-click anywhere in the DSRB to bring up the secure menu ↑
DSRB Configuration
The DSRB you are currently viewing indicates that the entire display is being rendered by the Secure Processor. There is only one pattern that shows Total Secure. The current setting is yellow rectangles on a purple background. This can be configured in the user settings. The demo lets you choose between the current default and solid Gold. Click the icon below and try changing it!
If the DSRB is black, then the entire screen is unsecure and rendered by the host.
Any other pattern or solid colour in the DSRB indicates there are both secure and unsecure areas on the screen. Each secure area is surrounded by a pattern that matches the DSRB pattern. These patterns are selected by the Secure Processor and continually change, so that malware on the host cannot try to spoof a secure region on the display.
It would also be stupid for malware to attempt this, as it is something you could easily detect visually and guess you might actually have malware on your device. An own goal, so to speak.
The icon below also lets you select whether you want the DSRB to be Static, Animated, or left to the Secure Processor to determine.
DSRB Border Mode
On a real THWIXEL device this is normally set just once, during Secure Setup. Here on the virtual THWIXEL you can change it live and watch the effect. Your choice stays set until you change it.
Mixed Secure & Unsecure Windows
The picotronix.com window is our real, live website, shown here as ordinary host content with no secure border. It behaves exactly as it would in any browser.
Use its internal menus and scroll around freely. Best to avoid clicking links that lead off-site, as those wander away from the demo. To move the window, grab it by its title bar.
Yes, a small plug. The Picotronix Multifunction Test Instrument, an oscilloscope and logic analyser in one, is a professional instrument built on two Raspberry Pi Pico 2 modules, with a modular design that enables a variety of expansion functions. It is production ready and heading to Kickstarter shortly.
Everything else here is drawn by the Secure Processor. Double-click a desktop icon to open its page, then drag it by its bar, pull the corner to resize, and close with X. The secure windows wear the current, matching DSRB pattern and colour, which is never fixed but changes continually; the live site does not, which is the whole point.

Live signals under your program’s control. In a laptop dock these pins are exposed for true process control.
The Infinity Machine is the third independent processor in every THWIXEL device — an embedded Raspberry Pi RP2350 (or related family), entirely yours to program.
It runs independently of the host: it cannot corrupt anything on the host, and the host cannot corrupt it. The Secure Processor allocates its display area and its input and output.
Through the Secure Processor it can reach further afield: network access, USB keyboards and devices, and even mass storage on the host — every path mediated by the Secure Processor, so the boundaries always hold.
It also carries THWITRS instruction-based imaging: compact drawing instructions rendered by the Secure Processor give it far richer graphics than an RP2350 could ever push to an LCD on its own.
And it is a clean slate: no flash of its own, loaded fresh by the Secure Processor each time, with the enormous Raspberry Pi software base behind it — a genuine digital playground in your pocket.

Robotics & true process control — a laptop dock exposes the GPIO pins directly.
