It sees what the host cannot hide.
The THWIXEL Secure Processor sits between most peripherals and the host, and data in and out of your device can be directed through it. Your touches, taps and keystrokes reach it first: what is meant for the ordinary side passes straight through, and what is private — a PIN, a confirmation, a signature — never leaves it at all. Malware on your device sees keys it cannot read and a screen it cannot fake.
It watches the other way too. If the camera or the microphone comes on — for any reason — it can tell you, on pixels nothing else can touch. And if your device is busy on the network while you are doing nothing at all, it can flag that as well: the classic sign of something running that you did not ask for.
It can also validate what the host displays — or claims to display. What you were shown, and whether it was really shown, can be confirmed independently of the host — and in a way that does not disturb the DRM protection of host-rendered content.
Let us be precise about what this is not: the Secure Processor is not an antivirus. It does not scan the host and it cannot detect malware running in the device’s operating system. It relies on nothing the host provides — its peace of mind is built entirely on its own hardware and its own security.
That distinction is its strength. The main device could be infected to the hilt and the Secure Processor keeps functioning, so long as it continues to receive data it can validate. And if malware tries to interfere — starving it of data, feeding it something that fails validation, or shutting it down outright — that is an own goal: the abnormality itself is detected and flagged to you, on a report the main system cannot alter and cannot suppress. It cannot catch the burglar; but the burglar cannot cut the cameras without setting off the alarm.
The watcher itself is independent and isolated — its own hardware, small enough to know completely, tamper-resistant, and impossible for the host to spoof. It reports the real activity, not what the host claims is happening. A small processor. A bigger peace of mind.
